Program Overview for 2009-2010

- September 16th Welcome Meeting
- We will introduce the theme of the year -- "Unfinished Projects." We will also do our final planning for our Quilt Show. Please bring your summer projects for our "Show and Tell."
- October 15th Quilt Show Setup
- Set up for our Quilt Show begins with drop off starting at 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
- October 16-17th Basket of Quilts Show

Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM. - October 21st Debbie Wendt Crafts and Textiles of Egypt; Egyptian Tentmakers' Applique
- Debbie Wendt will discuss her quilting experiences in Egypt and the United States.
- November 18th Jenny Johnston Journal Quilts
- Jenny’s ambitious project to document, weekly, her experiences for a year has resulted in a collection of outstanding and creative works of art. Jenny will share her quilts and tell us the stories of how they came to be. Not to be missed!
- December 9th Holiday Party
- Please bring finger food for 6-8 for our holiday repast; as always the Guild will supply the drinks. Note the agenda: by popular request, our program (after eating) will be a reprise of several "more before" demonstrations. Some will be popular repeats; some entirely new. At stations around the room, learn techniques that could make your quilting projects easier, more polished, and more efficient to produce. Feel free to bring any handwork or other projects to work on during our time together. Don't forget to bring any UFOs or other projects to show and tell.
- January 20th UFO Workshop
- Cathy Racine of the Charlton Sewing Center will provide a program on sewing machine tension. Some of you know Cathy as the owner of this unique shop and as a sewing machine technician extraordinaire. Cathy's lively and informative talk, complete with props, will teach you a thing or two. And she does it in the most engaging way. She will also bring the many threads she carries and she will answer all your questions. This is a must-see program, and I can't wait to see it all over again.
- January 29th-February 1st Getaway Weekend
- Spend 3 days and nights, 2 nights, 1 night or an afternoon sewing (and laughing) together on the ever-popular Getaway. Details to be supplied.

- March 17th Gerald Roy
- Gerald Roy is a well know collector of antique quilts.
- April 21st Caren Betlinski Thread Painting
- Caren’s thread painted quilts are a wonder. Her painterly use of colored threads shows what else can be done with our machines as she creates true works of art. Caren will present a trunk show of her work and describe how she achieves her results.
- May 19thAnnual Meeting and A Musical Tour of Quilting

Speakers: The Singing Quilters Topic: A Musical Tour of Quilting - Back by popular demand, husband and wife team, Cathy Miller and John Bunge will present a program of songs and stories about quilts and quilting, to accompany a trunk show of Cathy's quilts. Since their last show, new songs, new quilts. We will also have our election of new officers.
- June 9th Annual Pot Luck Dinner
- We will have our annual pot luck dinner. Please bring a dish to share. Also, we will have the installation of New Officers, our Challenge Show and Tell,and our “Newly Finished Objects” Show and Tell.
